I believe in the process of psychotherapy and strive to encourage each of my patients to think of the setting I provide to them, as a safe space. I understand that dealing with unresolved issues can be a daunting task. We will work together to face those obstacles with strength and courage.
Some of my specialties include but are not limited to ADHD, Anger Management, Behavioral Issues, Family Conflict, Men’s Issues and Sexuality. I utilize CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems) and Interpersonal Therapy Techniques to assist my patients with actualizing their goals in therapy.
I believe in meeting clients where they are emotionally and mentally and providing them a safe space to openly express their feelings and concerns. I work to help my patients manage their feelings and process their emotions while also assisting their families, to help them understand and learn how to assist their loved ones. I help my patients to understand that emotions are healthy, and the ability to “control” them actually comes from our ability to control our reactions to those emotions.
Some of the more delicate areas I work with include working with children and adolescents and assisting them with life transitions, stress, anxiety and ADHD. I understand the challenges they face. I work to help them understand their struggle, and develop skill sets to help them better cope with and overcome obstacles.
